1. Overview
SoftVault is an Android app that helps users create barcode labels for real-world storage spaces and reopen those spaces later by barcode scan or manual code entry. The current version is focused on storage organization and does not require user account registration.
2. Information the app handles
SoftVault may handle information that you choose to enter into the app, such as storage space names, zones, categories, quantities, notes, barcode labels, and stored item details. This information is used to provide the app's core organization features.
- Storage space details you create inside the app
- Item names, categories, quantities, and notes you add to a space
- Barcode values used to reopen a space
- Language preference or similar local app settings
3. Camera permission
SoftVault requests camera permission to scan barcode labels. The camera is used to support the barcode scanning feature only. If you do not grant camera permission, you can still use manual code entry for supported flows.
4. Local device processing
The current SoftVault experience is designed around on-device use. The app's core space management flow is not based on a developer-operated cloud account system. Barcode recognition in the current app build is intended to support local scanning within the app experience.
5. Sharing and exported content
SoftVault can let you save or share barcode cards when you choose to do so. If you export an image or share content through Android's share sheet, that action is initiated by you. Once content is shared to another app or service, that third party's privacy practices will apply.
6. Third-party services in the current release
Based on the current app implementation, SoftVault does not include a user account backend operated by the developer. The current release is also not presented as an ad-supported release at this time. If that changes in a future version, this Privacy Policy will be updated before or at the time of rollout.
7. Data retention and deletion
Because the current app flow is centered on device-side use, you can generally manage your app information directly on your device. If you want to remove app data, you may delete content in the app, clear app data through Android settings where available, uninstall the app, and delete any exported files that were saved outside the app.
8. Children's privacy
SoftVault is a utility app for storage organization and is not specifically directed to children. If you believe a child has provided information in a way that requires attention, please contact us.
9. Security
We aim to limit data handling to what is necessary for the app's features. However, no software environment can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure, and you should use reasonable care when storing or sharing sensitive information through any device or application.
10. Future AdMob advertising notice
SoftVault may add Google AdMob advertising in a future release. If AdMob is introduced later, this Privacy Policy will be updated to explain the relevant advertising, consent, and data-handling details before or when that version becomes available. Future updates may also require corresponding changes to the Google Play Data safety section and user consent messaging where applicable.
11. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product improvements, compliance needs, or service changes. The latest version should always be reviewed together with the current app release.
